About Camryn

Camryn is an aspiring lighting designer and programmer, who is dedicated to bringing a unique perspective into the industry. She is a graduate from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts [B.F.A], where she studied Lighting Design/Technology, with a concentration in lighting console programming. Camryn has a deep passion for creating and she uses this drive to showcase her individual talents and to be a representation this field for those who are underrepresented. Her goal is to use her background, culture, and identity as a Black American artist to break down the barriers between the world of lighting and the world she has come from.

Her recent credits include They Do Not Know Harlem (Programmer), Photona: Muse (Designer), Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (Programmer), & Passing Strange (Programmer)

Camryn is a recent recipient of the Pat MacKay Diversity in Design Scholarship (2021-2022)

Camryn currently serves on the Futures & Innovation League at Live Design International.
